BOOK REPORT......

Target Alex Cross - James Patterson

This is book 26 of the Alex Cross series...and yes I've read them all.

Synopsis

A killer elite - six assassins - are on the loose. So is Alex Cross.

A leader has fallen, and Alex Cross joins the procession of mourners from Capitol Hill to the White House. Then a sniper's bullet strikes a target in the heart of DC. Alex Cross' wife, Bree Stone, newly elevated chief of DC detectives, must solve the case or lose her position. The Secret Service and the FBI deploy as well in the race to find the shooter.

Alex is tasked by the new president to lead an investigation unprecedented in scale and scope. But is the sniper's strike only the beginning of a larger attack on the nation?

MY THOUGHTS

I've read all the Alex Cross books and really, really like them.  So when this one came to my library I snatched it up.  This one has lots of mystery and intrigue in it.  After the President is assassinated, Alex is called to join a special task for to find out who did this.  While Alex's wife Bree Stone is also on the case.  Alex finally figures out there is more than one shooter out there.  The race is on to find out who and why.  Is it a foreign country trying to take over our country or could it be an inside job???

I give this book 5 *****

BOOK REPORT.....

 1st Case by James Patterson

Synopsis

Angela's graduate school days at MIT come to an abrupt end when she uses her hacking skills on another student's computer. Yet her mentor, Eve Abajian, arranges a new beginning for her -- as an intern in FBI's Boston field office. Her new supervisor, Assistant Special Agent in Charge William Keats, one of only two agents in the Northeast to make his rank before the age of thirty, sees in Angela a fellow prodigy. But Angela's skills come with a natural curiosity, which is also a dangerous liability.

With little training, Angela is quickly plunged into a tough case: tracking murderous brothers who go by the Poet and the Engineer. When Keats tells her to "watch and listen," Angela's mind kicks into overdrive. The obsessive thinking that earned her As on campus can prove fatal in the field.

My Thoughts:

I really liked this book, I'm hoping this is a new series for James Patterson.  The book is all about Angela...she is a computer  student at MIT.  But she gets kicked out for hacking a fellow students phone.

Her mother gets her a job at the FBI.  Angela is then sent out in the field with William Keats.  What Angela sees at her first job is  a whole family wiped out.  Angela's job is to search all the electronic devices for any information.  This is a fast paced book and you won't get lost with too many characters.

I give this book 5*****

BOOK REPORT......

All American Murder - James Patterson

Product Description(Amazon)
Aaron Hernandez was a college All-American who became the youngest player in the NFL and later reached the Super Bowl. His every move as a tight end with the New England Patriots played out the headlines, yet he led a secret life--one that ended in a maximum-security prison. What drove him to go so wrong, so fast?

Between the summers of 2012 and 2013, not long after Hernandez made his first Pro Bowl, he was linked to a series of violent incidents culminating in the death of Odin Lloyd, a semi-pro football player who dated the sister of Hernandez's fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins.
Hardcover: 400 pages
Publisher: Little, Brown and Company; First Edition edition (January 22, 2018)
Language: English
ISBN-10: 9780316412650
ISBN-13: 978-0316412650

MY THOUGHTS:  This was a really long book.  But it was very good.  I'm not really a football fan, so didn't know who Aaron Hernandez was.  But I like reading about people in the news.  There are lots of characters to keep track of and lots of information about Aaron and the people in his life.  I give this book 4.......

BOOK REPORT......

The Murder House - James Patterson

Description(Amazon)
Trying to escape her troubled past and rehabilitate a career on the rocks, former New York City cop Jenna Murphy hardly expects her lush and wealthy surroundings to be a hotbed of grisly depravity. But when a Hollywood power broker and his mistress are found dead in the abandoned Murder House, the gruesome crime scene rivals anything Jenna experienced in Manhattan. And what at first seems like an open and shut case turns out to have as many shocking secrets as the Murder House itself, as Jenna quickly realizes that the mansion's history is much darker than even the town's most salacious gossips could have imagined.

As more bodies surface, and the secret that Jenna has tried desperately to escape closes in on her, she must risk her own life to expose the truth-before the Murder House claims another victim.
Hardcover: 480 pages
Publisher: Little, Brown and Company; First Edition edition (September 28, 2015)
Language: English
ISBN-10: 0316410985
ISBN-13: 978-0316410984

MY THOUGHTS:  This is an awesome book if you like murder mysteries.  I didn't know for sure who the murderer was until the last few pages...Full of likable characters and several bad guys.  The main character, Jenna Murphy is headed back to her home town to work on the police force there.  Her uncle is the chief of police.  But Jenna walks right into a cold case that has come back to life.  It happened at The Murder House.  Or better known a 7 Ocean View Road.  Can Jenna find out who's doing this?  Will she get caught by the murderer?   I give this book 5.....

ISBN-13: 978-1538730577

MY THOUGHTS:  As far as I know this book isn't linked to any of the series books by James Patterson.  There are 3 stories  told by three different authors.  Pretty good book.  My favorite is The Doctor's Plot.  Someone is killing people and Abi Brenner is the medical examiner who becomes curious.  This curiosity could get her killed.  I give this book 4....
