It is a wild race against time as Lieutenant Lindsay Boxer and the newest member of the Women's Murder Club, attorney Yuki Castellano, lead an investigation into a string of mysterious patient deaths--and reveal a hospital administration determined to shield its reputation at all costs. The newest addition to the top selling new mystery series takes the Women's Murder Club to the most terrifying heights of suspense they have yet to encounter.

MY THOUGHTS:   There are actually 3 stories in this book.  The hospital is being sued, the night visitor that is killing people in the hospital and someone is killing pretty blond  young girls, dressing them in nice clothes and placing them in expensive cars.  Lindsay has to catch all of them.  With the help of the Women's Murder Club, they may catch their killer.  I give this book 4.....

4th of July - James Patterson

In a deadly late-night showdown, San Francisco police lieutenant Lindsay Boxer fires her weapon and sets off a dramatic chain of events that leaves a police force disgraced, a family destroyed, and Lindsay herself at the mercy of twelve jurors. During a break in the trial, she retreats to a picturesque town that is reeling from a string of grisly murders-crimes that bear a link to a haunting, unsolved case from her rookie years.

Now, with her friends in the Women's Murder Club, Lindsay must battle for her life on two fronts: in a trial rushing to a climax, and against an unknown adversary willing to do anything to hide the truth about the homicides-including kill again?

MY THOUGHTS:   Even though this is book 4 in the series, it is still a riveting story.  Keeps you reading to find out if Lindsay is found guilty and if she finally catches the person who killed the boy from her cold case.  I give this book 5.....

BOOK REPORT.......

3rd Degree - James Patterson

Product Description(Amazon)
One of James Patterson's best loved heroines is about to die. Detective Lindsay Boxer is jogging along a beautiful San Francisco street when a fiery explosion rips through the neighborhood. When Lindsay plunges inside to search for survivors, she finds three people dead. A lost infant and a mysterious message at the scene leaves Lindsay and the San Francisco Police Department completely baffled.

Then a prominent businessman is found murdered under bizarre circumstances, with another mysterious message left behind by the killer. Lindsay asks her friends Claire Washburn of the medical examiner's office, Assistant D.A. Jill Bernhardt, and Chronicle reporter Cindy Thomas to help her figure out who is committing these murders-and why they are intent on killing someone every three days.

Even more terrifying, the killer has targeted one of the four friends who call themselves the Women's Murder Club.
Hardcover: 400 pages
Publisher: Little, Brown and Company; Lrg edition (March 2004)
Language: English
ISBN-10: 9780316743860
ISBN-13: 978-0316743860
MY THOUGHTS:  This is the 3rd book in the Women's Murder Club.  Just as good as the 1 and 2.  Only this time Lindsay is in serious danger.  The person is killing someone every 3 days.  Who is going to be next?  What's the connection?  Lindsay only has a few days to figure it all out.....so gets the gang together for some help.  Will they find them on time?  I give this book 5....
